After a few trial and error orderings, I decided the women's petite fit me the best. The regular medium length buckles at the ankles and puffs out at the bottom - too much pant leg for me. The "long" are ridiculously long unless you are over 5"8 in platform heels or boots. Petites fit nicely all around except for one thing, they dip kind of low in the back because I have a longer back and a wider bottom. So they dip a little deep back down, but not so bad as to expose any skin. I just think they could afford to make the back rise equal to the front rise, if that makes sense. Otherwise, they wash well and hardly, if it all do they shrink. I turn them inside-out when laundering so as to prevent color run or bleeding. And since they are black, I wash them with less detergent and on the cold cycle. mid-temp perma press dry.
